Background to the Affiliate Scheme
The Autism Directory is a registered charity helping autism families get the help they need. We do this via this website which ‘signposts’ families to all the help and support that is out there, but no-one tells us about! As a UK wide directory we rely on families, professionals and businesses to add entries to the site in order for others to benefit from that information. We do a lot of research ourselves however, we are based in South Wales and really don’t know what is out there locally across the UK.
We also help businesses to serve their ‘autism customers’ better with the free training we provide on this site and giving them the opportunity to get our ‘Autism Friendly Mark’. This in turn will help improve the experience for Autism families when they go out and about.
As a charity we also want to help and support autism families at a ‘grass roots’ level too, and what we’ve found is that there are so many charities, schools and non-profit organisations doing this that instead of creating our own, we want to support those that are already doing it and who also provide an invaluable support to families.
So the affiliate scheme was created to further all these aims…
We are looking to partner with autism charities, schools and non-profit organisations across the UK for a Win – Win – Win !
How it Works…
To put an entry on the website is free and this will be an appropriate for a lot of ‘information type’ entries. There is also a ‘Link & Logo’ and a ‘Premium’ type entry for businesses and organisations who want to ‘upgrade’ so that they can display their logo, have a link back to their website and include social media buttons etc. These entries have a fee; currently £24 and £60 a year respectively – and you can find out more about what each covers here.
The affiliate scheme works when any organisation that chooses either of these paid options and come recommended by an affiliate, then we will pay that affiliate 50% of the revenue we get – this helps us to help our affiliates support autism families at a local level.
Also being local our affiliates will have a lot of information to help families, and we would be grateful if they could help us populate the directory in their area. This local information could include details of children’s hospitals, CAMHS, special schools, parent support groups etc, and we would also be happy to provide a ‘thank-you’ to our affiliates for helping us build up the directory in this way.

This is a win for The Autism Directory as the directory grows more organically this way and we save time which we would otherwise have to spend on research and we also save money on marketing.
What You Get…
Our Affiliate Packs include marketing materials that can be jointly branded to give to businesses that you (and your members) have a great experience with. This will offer them free autism awareness training and the opportunity to have a directory entry on this site so they can promote themselves to other autism families. Any that upgrade their entry will mean you get the 50% of the fee back to your organisation.
Your organisation will, as an affiliate, also get a free Premium listing on this site. This allows you to add your social media links and we will promote you ourselves in our own marketing and social media schedules.
You will also have the opportunity to promote yourselves further through guest-blogging on our front page, and get help from us with any fundraising events and campaigns you run, plus you can add events to our calendar for free too.
And this won’t cost you a penny… instead it will make you some.
