The Autism Act
The Autism (Scotland) Bill: Following action in England and Wales the Scottish Parliament is currently considered the Autism (Scotland) Bill with the intention of creating Scotland’s own National Autism Strategy. The Member of Scottish Parliament Hugh O’Donnell proposed the Autism (Scotland) Bill to Scottish Parliament in May 2010.

Cross Party Autism Group in the Scottish Parliament
In Scotland, where healthcare services are devolved, unfortunately there is not a Cross Party Group on Autism. There are CPGs on: Alzheimer’s, Asthma, Cancer, Chronic Pain, Coeliac Disease and DH, Deafness, Diabetes, Disability, Dyslexia, Epilepsy, Heart Disease and Stroke, Mental Health, Muscular Dystrophy, Obesity, Palliative Care, Psoriasis and Psoriatic Ar-thritis, however not one for Autism.
You can contact you Member of Scottish Parliament (MSP) about your concerns over the policies and politics related to autism and ask them if they are willing to form a Cross Party Group to promote autism awareness in Scotland, as APPGA, CPAG, APAGA are trying to do in England, Wales and Northern Ireland respectively.
