We are parents that just want to help other parents with children on the autism spectrum find the help they need.

Having been on the journey ourselves we know how stressful and emotional it is not to be listened to, how draining it is to have to fight for the basic needs that most take for granted and how infuriating it is to be accused of being neurotic or having bad parenting skills. It is also isolating when you really feel you are on your own as society is not yet ready to understand and accept our children.

All our Trustees are volunteers who give their time freely to govern the charity which keeps this website running and up to date for the benefit of other parents.

However we do have costs, such as the technology and website itself, marketing support, materials and postage to get the word out there and other administrative support costs. We are therefore very grateful for donations to cover these ongoing overheads.

But more important are the projects in the autism community to help families get the help they need on an individual basis.

The Autism Directory will provide some level of support, but there are families who need much more support than this and desperately need someone with them as they go through tough times getting heard, fighting for the right resources, helping their children find thier way around this confusing world and helping them to believe in themselves and know that it’s really not their fault.

This is where we can really make a difference.
